Welcome to the Dutch Grammar Hub
This handbook was designed as a modern, interactive, and structured cheat sheet specifically for beginner and intermediate learners of the Dutch language (A1 to B1 levels). Instead of scattering through dense textbooks to remember how an adjective works or how to handle inversion, everything is contained in 15 highly focused grammatical sheets.
Features & Formatting
The handbook uses a few central features to keep your studying efficient and clean:
-
Color Coding: We use an intentional color system to help your brain map grammar rules:
| Color |
Role & Meaning |
|
Critical rules & structural highlights |
|
Action success & default verbs (hebben) |
|
Alternative forms & irregular states (zijn) |
|
Warnings & critical exceptions to memorize |
|
Target active grammar syntax in examples |
- Grammar Modules: Each card on the dashboard directly correlates to one self-contained grammatical rule or concept. Click one to dive into the tables and examples.
- Mastery Tracking: On the bottom right of each cheat sheet, you will find a "Mark as Mastered" toggle. Clicking this will save your progress locally on your device, filling the Progress Bar on the main dashboard and earning you a green checkmark badge next to that module.
Navigating the Hub
The application is split into two visual paradigms:
- The Dashboard (Hub): This is the homepage. It lists the 15 modules. You can use the search bar to filter concepts instantly, or use the "Hide Mastered" button to filter out content you already know to focus on your weak points.
- The Study Sheets: When you enter a module, you have a clean table of rules. You can toggle Test Mode (using the button at the top right). Test mode temporarily hides English translations and rule descriptions so you can test your memory actively like a flashcard!
Local Storage
Your privacy and progress are guaranteed. The Dutch Grammar Hub uses zero databases and sends absolutely no information online. Your light/dark mode preference, your Test Mode state, and the modules you mark as Mastered are all stored immediately within your own browser's local cache.
