How to print a sheet or save it as PDF

With More Dutch Plus:

  1. Open a cheat sheet.
  2. Click Print / save as PDF.
  3. In your browser's print window, choose your printer, or choose "Save as PDF" as the destination.

The printed version leaves out the menu, buttons and colours that waste ink. You get the rules and tables only.

Without Plus, the button opens a short explanation instead. You can still read every sheet on your phone or laptop, and your progress is saved.

Why a printed sheet helps

Some learners study better on paper. A sheet on the fridge or next to your desk means you see the rule ten times a day without opening anything. Paper also works well in class: you can write your own examples in the margin and bring it to your Dutch lessons.

Printing is not required to learn, though. The online sheets have a test mode that blurs the English, so you have to recall the meaning yourself. Paper can't do that.

Other free Dutch grammar material

If you are looking for free PDFs to practise with:

  • DUO practice exams. DUO publishes free practice exams for the A2 exams, including the writing exam as PDF, and links practice material for B1 (inburgeren.nl). These show what your grammar needs to do in the exam.
  • Your public library. Most libraries lend Dutch grammar books for learners.

Be careful with "free Dutch grammar PDF" downloads from unknown sites. Many are scanned copies of paid books, and some are out of date.

How to use the sheets

One sheet a week is a good pace. Read it, write your own sentences, and test yourself before you move on. Our guide on how to learn Dutch grammar gives an order for all 15 topics. For the rules in one long page, read the Dutch grammar guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Dutch grammar PDF?

The 15 More Dutch cheat sheets are free to read online. Saving them as a PDF is part of More Dutch Plus. DUO's practice exams are free PDFs, but they are exams, not grammar summaries.

How many pages is each cheat sheet?

It depends on the topic and your paper size. Short topics fit on one page. Longer ones, like the past tense with its table of strong verbs, take more.

Do I need an account to print?

Yes. Plus is linked to your account, so you sign in, buy it once and then print from any device where you are signed in.

Can I print the sheets for my class?

The sheets are for your own study. If you are a teacher and want to use them in class, email info@moredutch.com first.

Are the sheets in English or Dutch?

The explanations are in English and the examples are in Dutch with English translations.
